Bamboo stakes left over from a previous project provided the perfect material for this vintage-inspired boho design, reminiscent of rattan mirrors you often see in stores. Materials You’ll Need

• A round mirror (20 cm in diameter)
• Bamboo stakes (approx. 4 meters in total)

Step-by-Step Instructions

• 8 pieces of 18 cm
• 12 pieces of 12 cm

Use sandpaper to smooth out the edges and ensure a uniform finish.

2. Create the Base

On a piece of cardboard, draw a circle matching the size of your mirror. Use a compass or trace the mirror itself. Find the center of the circle and mark it clearly.

Using a protractor, divide the circle into equal sections of 15 degrees. Draw lines from the center to the edge of the circle for precise placement of the bamboo pieces. Cut out the circle once your markings are complete.

3. Attach the Picture Hanger

On the back of the cardboard circle, attach the picture hanger. If using a water-activated adhesive, dampen it slightly before application to ensure a secure hold.

4. Assemble the Sunburst

Flip the cardboard over and begin attaching the bamboo pieces along the marked lines using a hot glue gun. Start with the longest pieces to divide the circle into four sections, then alternate between the medium and short pieces to fill the entire circle.

For a neat finish, ensure each bamboo piece extends approximately 3 cm from the edge of the cardboard.

5. Attach the Mirror

Apply a strong adhesive (e.g., “No More Nails”) to the center of the bamboo frame, then carefully place the mirror on top. Press down firmly and allow the glue to dry completely.

The Final Result
